GROUPS
Trauma Recovery and Empowerment: A structured, discussion-based group for women who have experienced physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse. This is a long-term closed group. As such, members are able to build trusting relationships. This is a valuable space for survivors to gather, support, and learn from one another. It's also great for those who are new to trauma work or who struggle with relationships due to past abuse.
Next round: Begins Summer 2025
Location: Virtual
Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents: This group follows the framework of the book by Lindsay Gibson, PsyD and incorporates elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy and Somatic Therapy. Members will deconstruct their experiences with emotional abuse, neglect, and dysregulation to improve their understanding of harmful family dynamics and learn to better manage those relationships as adults.
Next round: TBD
Location: Virtual
WORKSHOPS
Autonomic Mapping
Get to know the different states of your autonomic nervous system, a key part in our regulation and survival responses. What brings you into fight or flight? What draws you towards comfort and calm? Influenced by the work of Deb Dana, LCSW, and Dr. Dan Siegel, we'll develop a deeper understanding of our bodies' responses to our environments and how they influence our emotions and meaning making. With this foundational knowledge, we'll learn different techniques to help you move through states of dysregulation to a place of safety.
Better Boundaries
Setting and maintaining healthier boundaries can be an intimidating challenge, especially for individuals with low self-esteem or who have experienced interpersonal abuse. In this workshop, we'll learn about different types of boundaries and start to identify those that need strengthening. We'll explore communication strategies and practices to promote confidence in boundary setting as well as the role of a values system in supporting this process.
TRAININGS FOR PROFESSIONALS
Trauma-Informed Care: Practical Applications
Designed for care professionals whose work may involve physical contact with their patients. We'll first learn about trauma and its imprints to deepen your understanding of how patients with trauma histories may engage with their surroundings. We'll then explore practices to help improve service delivery to these patients.
